Ok so since I said I was going to be posting once a week, things went crazy. The next day while I was in my room for only a few minutes hiding presents for Christmas, Logan, who was watching a movie so I thought I would be okay for 3 minutes, managed to open up the door to the garage that had a child proof lock on it, some how found a way to get up to the button to open the garage door and ran around the corner to State Street. I'm sure I was only about 30 seconds too late coming out of my room since this had to take some time on his part. Anyway, I was so shook up over this that I was having nightmares for weeks and even now I'm constantly checking on him even when he's sleeping and constantly checking the doors to make sure they are all locked in addition to all of the child proof locks. I won't do anything now without him being with me, not even going to the bathroom! The day after THAT happened, I found out some more news that has been really stressful and life changing for a while. So this really took all my time and energy for a few weeks after and the between everyone being sick on and off and Christmas and going out of town- once to Idaho for my dads retirement and 60th birthday party and once to Orem to go on the Polar Express and visit with Ben's family for Christmas, I haven't had time to even think about blogging. I'll try to hurry and catch up on everything.
1. I will post about the Polar Express on Logan's blog.
2. I will post a few pictures of Christmas on here
3. I will also have some of our trip to Idaho
4. Everything new with Roxie and Logan on their blogs
Ben got a new job I think in November which I may of already blogged about... Anyway, he's in the same line of work, but at another facility making more money. He works crazy hours... Before he was working Mon-Fri from 6:30-2:30. Now he works from Sun 7am- Mon 7am, Mon 3pm- Tues 7am, Tues 3pm- Wed 7am, and Wed 3pm- Thurs 7am one week and then just Mon 3pm- Tues 7am and Tues 3pm- Wed 7am the next week. So basically Sun-Thurs morning one week and just Mon-Wed morning the next week. It's crazy the long week and weird being alone so much but it's nice to have so much time off at one time and I can also sleep in in the morning if I had a hard night with the kids since he's home every day at 7.
We finally got Directv yesterday. We haven't had tv for about a year other than like 5 channels that came in because of the way they set up our internet. I was so sick of only being about to watch Nick which really doesn't have anything good for little kids and not really having anything to watch period. I didn't want tv but after a long day I have no energy and just want to cuddle up on the couch, haha!
We are going to be moving soon. We have a lot of things to consider so we aren't sure if we will be moving to Toquerville and renting, or if we will rent or buy in Hurricane or Washington City. We are trying to fix a few problems with our credit that shouldn't be there and then we will be applying for a home loan. Mostly, we're just praying and doing what we feel is best. I just don't want to live here with a busy road right behind us, especially after what happened with Logan, plus we just know it's time to move some where else, where ever that will be!
I think that's basically everything that's happened in the last little while.

So Exhausted...
Today hasn't been too fun so far. Ben left yesterday for drill so I'll be alone with the kids all day today and tomorrow and with the possible exception of tomorrow night, I'm going to be alone every day from 2:30 pm to 7:30 am until next Thursday! I hate sleeping alone. I guess I should be used to it by now being an Army wife and now with Ben's new job... Plus, for some reason whenever Ben is gone, Logan gets creative with ways to make me go nuts doing things he would never normally do when Ben is here! Add that on to a teething colicky baby. It's going to be a long week!
FYI- I started blogs for the kids so check them out! Also, I'm going to try to make blogging a weekly thing. I know I'm not very good at blogging but hopefully I can at least recap what's been going on over the week each weekend.

Chinese Onion Rings
So you probably already saw this on FB but I thought I would share again for those who aren't on Facebook.
Yesterday I had a girls day with my mom and sister. We decided on a Chinese buffet for lunch. Roxie was fussing so I just grabbed a few things I could eat with my hands while I took care of her while my mom and sister were still getting their plate. I picked up an onion ring and was surprised when I took a bite and realized it wasn't onion. So what was it? My initial reaction was that it was chicken but after chewing a little longer I realized it wasn't chicken. The texture was different. More of a rubbery tasty than chicken. It must be a mozzerella stick! The texture was just right and it was fried like one, just in a ring instead of a stick. But was it for sure cheese inside? I walked over to the buffet to see what the sign said it was. I was in shock at what I first saw- SQUID. I looked at the food next to it and the sign above it said CORN. Okay, it was right. Then I noticed some meat on the other side of it which HAD to be squid. There was no way I ate squid. Then I noticed a sign above it. I started to feel sick to my stomach, did I really just eat squid when I won't even eat chicken? I thought about the texture- rubbery and kind of stringy. Yup, I had indeed eaten squid. I ran to the table and started downing my root beer and told my sister, Shandi, what I just ate. She didn't believe me either until she saw for herself.

Funny thing was, when my mom sat down I said, "hey Mom, want an onion ring" "I already got some!" Of course Shandi ruins my fun and says don't eat it, it's squid. She couldn't believe it either. So next round at the buffet I notice more fried rings on the other side of where I got my squid rings. I thought, oh no way... That seriously can't be onion rings, right next to where I got all my other food and some how I managed to miss them and walk to the other side to get my squid. So I wandered over to them and saw they were indeed onion rings. My mom did have onion. I was so cautious of every thing else I ate from then on! Of course, it would be me, the vegetarian, that got to eat SQUID! haha. I guess that's what you get for eating fries and onion rings at a Chinese restaurant instead of CHINESE!!! (I have to admit though, it really didn't taste that bad!)

Roxie's Milestones
I just wanted to leave a quick post as to what our active little girl has been up to. The weekend of her Blessing, at 7 weeks, she started smiling. Now she absolutely loves to be talked to and she will coo and smile and occasionally give a little giggle.
About a week later, at 8 weeks, Ben had been talking to her while she was laying on her mat on the floor, looked up for a second, looked back down, and she was on her tummy. He put her back on her back and a few minutes later, we were talking, and look back at her and again she had rolled on her tummy. She rolled from back to tummy and tummy to back a few times within a few days of that at now at 11 weeks, I can't keep her on her back any more! Over this past weekend, I kept laying her on her back and she would immediately roll on her tummy. She started fussing so I would roll her back over and again, within seconds she would be on her tummy. She did this at least 6 times before I picked her up. Later that day she was laying on her mat and kept rolling again. When she would start fussing, my neice Megan would roll her over and she would just roll back over.
I tried to tell the doctor she was rolling over at her 2 month appointment and he said she was just doing it on accident. She had just started so I thought maybe he was right, but now, there is no doubt she knows what she's doing!
I think it just feels better on her tummy when she's laying on it, plus she loves sitting up so I think she likes being able to hold her head up and look around better that way. That little girl has amazing strength! She will pull herself up when she holds on to my hands and can easily sit in a Bumbo seat without her head wobbling all over the place. She's gonna be a handful! I'm scared to see when she'll be crawling and walking!

Roxie is a month old!
I've had a few people ask me for her birth story so here it is along with a little more on life so far. Kind of long so bare with me.
Roxie Rose Miller was born on July 18th at 11:17 am. She was 7 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long. I really wanted to have a VBAC but when I was a week overdue and still hadn't gone into labor, I had a c-section. We showed up at the hospital early that morning where I was prepared for the c-section. We were in that room for a couple hours where I couldn't wait to just get it over with! They came in around 10- when I was supposed to have my c-section, and was told that a woman had just arrived needing an emergency c-section so I wouldn't be going in for a while longer. Great... all the anxiety and anxiousness and having to wait even longer! I watched the clock and realized I should of been done by now about the time they told me they were ready for me.

Ben waited outside the operating room and put on the clothes they gave him while I was given my spinal. I had told the anesthesiologist that with my first I wasn't able to breath because of my epidural and spinal so I passed out and then woke up when it started to wear off just in time to feel them stitching me up so he decided he would give me a little more medication than usual to make sure I didn't feel anything- and I sure didn't. I told him when I started losing feeling in my legs, then my arms and chest and he told me I would feel like I couldn't breath because I was numb, but that I would be and that if that happened they could give me a mask. Then number I got, the more I started to panic. Pretty soon I was in tears asking him to please just put me to sleep. He told me that if he did, my husband wouldn't be able to come in but I said it was okay so he hurried and added some medication to my IV to put me to sleep and told me I would soon feel drowsy. He and the 2 nurses where all trying really hard to calm me down and make me feel better until I was out. I never felt sleepy, but was out really quick.
I kept slightly waking up and could hear things going on but not really register what I was hearing or what I was going on. I wasn't sure if it was real or I was dreaming. I remember a little bit of them lifting me off the operating table and onto the bed. It started wearing off after I had been in the recovery room for a while. I could open my eyes for a second or two now and then and saw the nurse sitting at the computer next to me but she was the only one there. A little later I opened my eyes and saw Ben and the bassinet but couldn't keep my eyes open more than a couple seconds. Also, my face was really itchy from the medicine, especially my nose and I kept having to itch it! I really wanted it to wear off so I could open my eyes and see my daughter! I think the only thing I said was to ask Ben to call my dad and let him know she was here. My sister was visiting my dad too and I knew they were all really wanting to know what was going on. I barely remember when they moved me into my permanent room. Ben kept telling me whenever I was ready to see the baby to let him know because everyone was waiting outside and had been dying to see the baby but he wouldn't let them until I had seen and held her since I was the last one to see Logan! I was trying to hard to stay awake but kept falling back asleep. I was trying so hard to open my eyes but they wouldn't stay open. It was hard to talk. I now was so desperate for it to totally wear off!
Out of it...

Waiting to meet Mommy

I was finally able to keep my eyes open long enough to see her for a few seconds and told Ben to tell his dad, sister and mom they could come in because his dad and sister were needing to drive back home soon. My mom and everyone else had left for a little while. I was out again really quick and could hear a little bit now and then of them talking but not much. We called my mom and told her she could see the baby so they finished up what they were doing and headed over. I don't remember much of that either, and was in and out for several hours. My aunt and uncle are on a mission here and came over to see her, my uncle and my cousins were visiting, and they all came to see her. In fact, one of my cousins had been there most of the time because she spent the night the night before to stay with Logan when we went to the hospital. My other aunt that lives about 20 minutes away came with them as well and my brother stopped by after work to meet his new niece. It was great to have so many people stop by! Logan was very happy to finally see me and you could tell me was trying to figure things out when we tried to explain the baby that was in my tummy was right in front of him. He did come around and ended up kissing her later while she was sleeping in her bassinet. He was also wanting to share his things with her and kept asking for the baby.
Happy to see Mommy
Going in to kiss his baby sister
Trying to share his candy.
The next day my step dad was with Logan at the temple visitors center across the street and brother-in-laws brother happened to be there as well! They're from California and were actually in our stake there and were on their way to the family cabin and just happened to be stopping by(where my sister was also going, they all go every year). They had no idea I had just had my baby across the street! He came in and took some pictures and then when he was at the cabin was showing a bunch of pictures to my sister and when he got to those he was like, what are these? How did these pictures get in here? She didn't get it for a long time haha!

Anyway, I stayed up almost all night while we were there just holding her and looking at her. She was so beautiful! The nurses were amazing. I also loved that you could order room service as much as you wanted and they had awesome food! Everyone kept commenting on how beautiful she was. Once 2 nurses were bringing her back to the room and they thought I was asleep but I overheard them saying that she was so adorable. The head nurse told me that she was really cute too, one of the cutest babies she had ever seen and I said yeah well I think so but I'm bias and she said well I'm not and I wouldn't tell you that if I really didn't mean it! She's adorable! Everyone loved her. It was hard not to be really proud of that!!!

It took us a long time to come up with a name. With Logan, we had his name figured out pretty quick after we found out we were having a boy, but not with her! Everyone kept asking if we had one yet during my pregnancy and even more so in the hospital after she was born. After a few days in there going through tons of name books that night, we finally decided on a name and wrote it on the board for our moms to see when they showed up the next morning. They really loved it which was nice to hear.
She finally has a name!

Getting ready to go home

She had gained over a pound at 3 weeks! She slept really well, and still does most of the time. She pretty much sleeps through the night and she is starting to cry a tiny bit now but has hardly cried since she was born. We actually kind of like hearing her cry because she never does and it sounds so cute! She just grunts a ton. She's been so good. Logan was really jealous at first but each day he loves her more and more. He loves helping with her and loves giving her kisses and gets really close to her and talks with this cute soft little voice to her. He also loves softly touching her toes with his. He really loves her tiny toes.

She loves the vacuum. It always calms her down and most of the time it puts her to sleep. It's great that Logan LOVES to vacuum and she loves the sound. It's the only thing that will keep them both happy for sure at the same time. She also loves riding in the car. She didn't like being put down but now usually likes watching the little butterflies and lights move around while she's in her swing and some times will sit in her bouncer. So far it's been much easier than I thought overall. Logan still has a little trouble I think subconsciously because he has definitely been more of a handful like the fact he won't keep on a diaper any more and has peed and pooped on the floor a lot, usually in his room. A few times he's actually pooped and used his race car or train to drive through it and I've found poop tire marks all over his carpet- once I cleaned it up for over an hour, put him to down for a nap and he ran out like 10 minutes later with it all over his hands and feet laughing and said MOMMY! POOP! I cried!!! I couldn't wait for Ben to get home from work! We're trying really hard to teach him right and wrong and trying to potty train him but the issue we've had since last fall/winter is he is really great at peeing but will not poop on the toilet! Sigh... Anyway, it's a little hard at times but overall, like I said, it's much easier than I thought with two. I absolutely love my 2 kids and cannot believe its been a month since I had her!
